The IMO does not endorse specific products, but the Marlins test is developed by the same original contributors to the IMO Maritime English Model Course 3.17

The test is endorsed by the International Chamber of Shipping (ICS) and forms the basis of English language requirements for a number of international maritime flag authorities, cruise lines and oil majors.
